As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with African Union bodies, the Réseau des Femmes Leaders pour le Développement (RFLD) welcomed the Head of the African Governance Architecture Secretariat at the African Union Commission, Ambassador Salah S. Hammad, on Thursday April 14, 2022. For AGUEH Dossi Sekonou Gloria, President of the RFLD, this visit, which forms part of the strengthening of cooperation between the African Union and the RFLD, was an opportunity to exchange views with her host on one of the concerns of the present century, namely the issue of women’s rights. For the President of the RFLD and the members of the Board of Directors present, it is with great joy that the RFLD welcomes the distinguished guest, whose choice was made for the RFLD.

During the visit, several important points were addressed by the President and her host. These included the issue of women’s rights and the importance of women’s rights organizations collaborating with the AGA secretariat on human rights and good governance. As for the ambassador, the RFLD is an organization to be encouraged and supported, because despite today’s constraints, it takes action to protect and promote women’s rights.

This was followed by a brief presentation of the network. During this presentation, the spotlight was on the various actions undertaken by the organization for the benefit of girls and women. The visit ended with a message of encouragement from the ambassador to the president and her entire staff. In his message, the ambassador recognized the President’s proven leadership at the head of the organization, and congratulated her and her team. It should be noted that the man also visited the training site where the RFLD staff has been undergoing capacity building since last Monday.
