RFLD at CSW70: Shifting Power to Africa’s Grassroots

Dear Partners, Donors, and Friends of RFLD,

The global stage is set. From March 9th to 19th, 2026, the world will gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70).

As a leading Pan-African intermediary with ACHPR Observer Status and a network spanning 55 countries, the Network of Women Leaders for Development (RFLD) will be there to ensure that the voices of African women aren’t just heard, but are empowered through systemic change.

Our Mission: Building the Permanent Machinery for Gender Justice

We are entering a pivotal Scaling Phase (2026-2028). Our goal is to capitalize on our proven infrastructure to solve the “Francophone Funding Gap”—where currently less than 3% of global gender funding reaches the grassroots leaders who need it most.

We are inviting you to explore our strategic vision and investment opportunities:

The Three Pillars of Our 2026-2028 Strategy

  1. Africa Grant Portfolio (Grassroots Engine): Shifting power to local leaders across 6 priority areas.

  1. The WAFFF Fund (Financial Infrastructure): Channelling multi-year, core funding to unbanked grassroots organizations.

  1. Dònuèsè Data Center (Tech Infrastructure): Africa’s premier hub monitoring and combating Technology-Facilitated GBV.
