Conversations with funders and partners.

RFLD works with a consortium of institutional donors — GIZ/BMZ, Sida, AmplifyChange, Packard Foundation, FJS, Expertise France, Hivos — and with philanthropic partners considering a first relationship with our work. Both routes begin with a conversation, not a proposal.

Safeguarding · Protection

If someone you know is at risk.

RFLD works with women human rights defenders operating in jurisdictions where civic space is restricted or hostile. If you are reaching out because a defender, survivor, or member is in immediate danger, please do not rely on a public contact page.

Use RFLD's verified safeguarding channel: integrity@rflgd.org, which routes directly to the RFLD Safeguarding Focal Point with end-to-end encrypted handling. For defenders RFLD has existing relationships with, pre-established protection channels on Signal and verified in-country contact remain the primary route — those should be used as agreed.

For broader human rights defender protection services across Africa — including referrals for relocation, legal aid, and digital security — we also recommend Front Line Defenders and the East and Horn of Africa HRD Network.
