Accessible to everyone.
People with disabilities are among the communities RFLD serves, so this site should work for them too. We are committed to continual improvement toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of our inclusion mandate rather than an afterthought.
What we do
- We structure pages with clear headings and landmarks so screen readers can move through them.
- We provide a skip-to-content link and support full keyboard navigation.
- We maintain readable colour contrast against our plum, gold and burgundy palette.
- We write meaningful text alternatives for images that carry information.
- We support the browser’s own text resizing and reflow on small screens.
- We offer the site in more than one language through an on-page translator.
Known limitations
Some older documents and a few embedded data tools are not yet fully accessible. We are working through them in order of how often they are used, and in the meantime we will provide the information in another format on request.
Alternative formats
If you need a document or a page in a different format, such as large print, plain text or a readable summary, contact us and we will provide it. We would rather adapt to you than ask you to adapt to us.
Tell us about a barrier
If you meet an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, email admin@rflgd.org with the page address and a short description. We treat these reports as a priority and will tell you what we can fix and by when.
