Combating Ethnic Marginalization in Coastal West Africa: RFLD is hiring a Chief of Party and a Deputy Chief of Party for DRL-funded Program

Established in 2012, RFLD has emerged as a leading voice for women’s and youth rights and a powerful advocate for a vibrant civil society across Subsaharan Africa. With a robust network encompassing over 470 members from 60 women-led organizations in 27 countries, RFLD wields significant influence. Our success hinges on a collaborative approach, fostering partnerships with media, government entities and regional networks throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.

RFLD’s unwavering commitment extends to a diverse range of focus areas critical to equitable and sustainable development. These areas include:

  • Inclusive Development and Gender Equality
  • Civic Space, Democracy and Human Rights
  • Climate Change and Sexual Health Rights 
  • Institutional Building and Empowerment
  • Policy Development Expertise
  • Fight Against Harmful Practices
  • Peace and Security

The DRL-funded Program

This anticipated DRL-funded program will target ethnic marginalization, a significant barrier to equitable progress in Coastal West Africa. RFLD seeks highly qualified personnel to effectively execute this critical initiative

This initiative is anticipated to be funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL)..

Available Positions

  • Chief of Party (COP): This leadership role oversees all aspects of the program, providing strategic direction, managing staff, budget, and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP): The DCOP serves as the right hand to the COP, providing support in program management, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to DRL regulations.
