Dear colleagues,
The West Africa Feminist Data Summit 2026 opens this morning in Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, and we are pleased to open the plenary programme to remote participants.
For those of you who could not travel, the Summit’s plenaries and main sessions will be broadcast live on Zoom across all three days.

Over three days, roughly one hundred delegates working across eight thematic tracks will draft a Regional Feminist Data Agenda, launch a cross-border encrypted data collective, and open direct funding pathways to grassroots initiatives.
The programme operationalizes three resolutions of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights:
- Resolution 657 on access to environmental information
- Resolution 620 on data access as a tool for human rights
- Resolution 522 on the protection of women against digital violence.
Working languages are English and French, with simultaneous interpretation across plenaries. We encourage you to join a few minutes early and to follow the conversation using #FemDataSummit2026.
We look forward to having you with us.
Warm regards,
