The CUSO delegation, led by Senior representatives, shared examples of their successful projects in other countries and Benin. These experiences illustrated innovative methods to tackle issues similar to those faced in Benin. The discussions quickly evolved to address concrete strategies aimed at strengthening our joint efforts. The exchange of ideas was enriching, with each participant contributing their unique expertise and perspective on the topics discussed.

Youth inclusion was a central theme of the meeting. Young people represent a tremendous potential for catalyzing change, yet they often face significant barriers in accessing resources and opportunities. RFLD and CUSO agreed to develop specific programs to encourage the active participation of women and youth in programs adressings gender based violence, and their representation in decision-making processes and community initiatives.

Gender equality was also highlighted as a priority focus. The two delegations discussed the persistent challenges women face in various areas, including economic justice, climate change, violence against women, and inclusion.

Regarding networking for human rights, the meeting underscored the importance of creating synergies among various local, regional, and international organizations. Both organizations exchanged best practices and lessons learned, aiming to strengthen the capacity of local actors to advocate for human rights.

The fruitful discussions, exchange of experiences, and pooling of our resources strengthened our collective action. Together, we had the opportunity to transform lives and make a significant contribution to promoting human rights and gender equality in Benin. The commitment of each participant was a guarantee of success for our future initiatives and a step towards a more equitable future for all.
