We are thrilled to announce that RFLD will host the West Africa Feminist Data Summit 2026 in Accra, Ghana from 12 to 14 June 2026 — a three-day convening under the theme “Decolonizing Data: Architecting feminist digital futures in West Africa.”

The Summit will bring together approximately 100 feminist activists, data journalists, civic technologists, policy researchers, parliamentarians, and women human rights defenders from across the region to translate fragmented data work into coordinated continental advocacy.


🌍 Why this Summit matters

The Summit operationalises three landmark resolutions of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights:

  • Resolution 657 — on access to environmental information
  • Resolution 620 — on data access as a tool for human rights
  • Resolution 522 — on protecting women against digital violence
