RFLD is currently running a media campaign, in particular local radio stations where radio debates are being organized in different communities to ensure that no one is left behind. As part of the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Conference, RFLD has provided new opportunities to come together, renew commitment, rekindle political will and mobilize the public.
Each and every one of us has a role to play, for our common good. It’s becoming increasingly clear that empowering women drives humanity forward. For example, economies grow faster, and families are healthier and better educated. It is within this framework that the Beijing25 Benin Radio Tour will serve as a crucible to mobilize, convene and lead the engagement of women and girls in the Beijing +25 review processes and forums to ensure that the commitments of the intergenerational equality forums take into account the unique needs, aspirations and ambitions of African women in all their diversity.
