The Women Leaders Network for Development (RFLD), a leading Sub-Saharan feminist organization, is searching for a dedicated Tender Coordinator to join our team. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in securing the best possible services and goods for RFLD’s initiatives that champion gender equality and women’s rights across Africa.

Founded in 2012, RFLD is a regional organization headquartered in West Africa with a powerful network of over 470 members from 60+ women-led organizations spanning 27 countries. We work tirelessly to dismantle discrimination, eliminate violence against women and girls, and advocate for equal opportunities and participation in all aspects of life.

The Role

As our Tender Coordinator, you will be the linchpin for ensuring efficient and transparent procurement processes. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of RFLD’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Identifying and researching potential vendors for upcoming tenders.
  • Preparing clear and concise tender documents outlining project requirements, specifications, evaluation criteria, and timelines.
  • Managing the tendering process, including issuing tender notices, receiving and managing bids, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations of bids based on pre-defined criteria and ensuring compliance with RFLD’s policies.
  • Negotiating contracts with successful vendors to optimize terms and conditions.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of all tender-related documents.
  • Providing ongoing support to project teams with procurement-related inquiries.
  • Staying current on best practices in tendering and procurement.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of procurement principles. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Here are the specific qualifications we seek:

  • Bachelor / Master degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tender coordination role, with a proven track record of successful tender management.
  • In-depth knowledge of tendering procedures and best practices.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or NGO environment (highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of gender equality and women’s rights issues (a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (fluency in French is a plus).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
