RFLD Announces Governance Reforms: Ms. KPOSSOU Collecte elected New Board President, Ms. Dossi Sekonnou Gloria AGUEH Appointed New Africa CEO

The Network of Women Leaders for Development (RFLD) today announced major reforms to its internal governance, effective October 1st, to better adapt to the growing needs of the continent and consolidate its leadership.

These changes are aimed at strengthening the organizational structure for an even more significant and lasting impact on the rights of women and youth in Africa.

Ms. Dossi Sekonnou Gloria, whose term as head of the Board of Directors ends on September 25, 2025, has been appointed by the newly elected Board of Directors to the position of RFLD Africa Chief Executive Officer. In her new role, she will lead all of the organization’s operations on the continent, including regional offices, to optimize the execution of its strategic plan.

Ms. Dossi is a PhD candidate with over 12 years of experience on the continent. Her new responsibilities include:

  • Leading all of the organization’s operations on the African continent.
  • Legally representing the organization in official bodies and with partners.
  • Directing the day-to-day implementation of all the organization’s activities.
  • Supervising the RFLD’s regional offices.
  • Optimizing the execution of the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Ensuring the continuity of the RFLD’s vision.
  • Leading the organization at the Africa level.
  • Implementing strategic directions in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Working to adapt to the growing needs of the continent.
  • Consolidating the RFLD’s leadership.
  • Strengthening the organization’s impact on the rights of women and youth.

Her appointment, which follows a rigorous selection process and the review of numerous applications, demonstrates her vision and unwavering commitment to serving the RFLD since its founding.

The newly elected RFLD Board of Directors is composed as follows:

  • President: Ms. KPOSSOU Collecte
  • Vice-President: Ms. HOSSOU Folashade Ruth
  • Secretary General: Ms. TABIYI Mariam
  • Treasurer General: Ms. BOSSOU Jeanine
  • Head of Organization: Ms. WINSOU Hélène

The new executive leadership and the Board of Directors will work in close collaboration to implement the organization’s strategic directions. The appointment of Ms. Dossi marks the beginning of a new chapter where everyone’s expertise and experience will be utilized to strengthen our on-the-ground efforts and continue our mission of promoting rights, equality, and sustainable development.
