The Réseau des Femmes Leaders pour le Développement (RFLD) – Women Leaders Network for Development – is recruiting passionate change-makers for our Regional Ghana office. We are a Pan-African feminist organization to promote women’s rights, economic justice, climate justice, and human rights.


🌟 OPEN POSITIONS

1. Gender Justice & Intersectionality Specialist

Who We’re Looking For:

We seek a feminist-minded professional who understands that gender equality cannot be achieved in isolation from other forms of oppression. You will analyze how gender intersects with class, ethnicity, religion, disability, and sexual orientation to shape women’s lived experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intersectional gender analysis across RFLD’s programmatic areas (SRHR, economic justice, climate justice, peace & security)
  • Support partner organizations in integrating gender-transformative approaches
  • Document women’s voices and lived realities to inform policy advocacy
  • Challenge discriminatory social norms and harmful practices through evidence-based research
  • Monitor gender equality indicators and track progress toward women’s empowerment
  • Facilitate feminist capacity-building workshops for community leaders

We Value:

  • Lived experience and understanding of women’s struggles in West Africa

2. Feminist Knowledge & Community Research Facilitator

Who We’re Looking For:

We believe research is not extractive – it’s a tool for liberation. We seek someone who can co-create knowledge with communities, honoring grassroots wisdom while documenting women’s realities for advocacy and systems change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate participatory action research with women-led organizations and communities
  • Document success stories, testimonies, and case studies that amplify women’s voices
  • Support the Dɔnùesè Data Center in collecting gender-responsive data
  • Conduct literature reviews on women’s rights, harmful practices, and policy frameworks
  • Engage in community-based research that centers women’s experiences
  • Translate research findings into accessible formats for grassroots activists
  • Support evidence-based advocacy campaigns

3. Movement Building & Policy Influence Coordinator

Who We’re Looking For:

We seek a strategic feminist advocate who can mobilize communities, build coalitions, and influence policy for women’s rights. You understand that lasting change requires both grassroots organizing and engagement with power structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate advocacy campaigns on SRHR, economic justice, and climate justice
  • Build and strengthen coalitions with women’s rights organizations across Ghana
  • Support women human rights defenders in engaging with national and regional mechanisms
  • Organize community dialogues, consultations, and awareness-raising campaigns
  • Monitor policy developments and legislative processes affecting women’s rights
  • Facilitate civic space protection initiatives for activists and journalists
  • Coordinate with ACHPR and other regional bodies on women’s rights issues

4. Learning, Accountability & Feminist Impact Coordinator

Who We’re Looking For:

We seek someone who can facilitate participatory learning processes that center community voices and hold ourselves accountable to the groups we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement feminist, participatory monitoring and evaluation frameworks
  • Facilitate community-led assessment and reflection processes
  • Document program impact through storytelling, case studies, and quantitative data
  • Support partner organizations in building their own M&E capacity
  • Track progress toward women’s empowerment outcomes (not just outputs!)
  • Ensure accountability to communities, particularly women and marginalized groups
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices for knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to donor reporting with integrity and feminist framing

📋 GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

For All Positions:

  • Bachelor’s / Masters degree in relevant field (Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Human Rights, etc.) – OR equivalent lived experience and demonstrated commitment to social justice
  • 4-10 years of experience in women’s rights, development, or social justice work
  • Strong understanding of feminist principles and gender equality frameworks
  • Commitment to RFLD’s mission and values
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, data tools relevant to position)

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working in West African contexts
  • Connections to women’s movements and grassroots organizations
