Resolution 1325: women, peace and security in West Africa

About Course

Adopted on 31 October 2000, United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 recognises the role of women in the prevention and resolution of conflicts and demands their protection. This course from the RFLD Francophone Academy presents its history, its four pillars and the resolutions that make up the Women, Peace and Security agenda.

Designed for NGOs, activists and movements in French-speaking West Africa, it takes an Afrofeminist perspective and gives you concrete tools: national action plans, community mobilisation, advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation. The course ends with a quiz that gives access to a certificate.

Full course handbook: download the PDF (in French).
