Founded in 2013, RFLD brings together 1,143 member organisations in more than 35 African countries. Together they promote and protect the rights of women and young people and bring them into the places where decisions are made.

RFLD adds what small organisations rarely have on their own: sub-grants, management systems, training, and a seat at continental tables. Members bring what RFLD could never build from the centre: trust, local knowledge and daily presence in their communities.
