For funders and partners

Why fund RFLD, and why now

Aid to women’s organisations is falling while civic space in francophone West Africa keeps closing. RFLD already has the network and the track record to move funding fast to the women who defend rights, in French, and in countries that many funders cannot reach.

RFLD, BMZ and GIZ impact cover with key figures: 345 participations, 114 organisations, 15 free certified courses, 29 HUB countries

RFLD currently serves as Co-Chair of the SEA-T Programme Advisory Council, mandated to ensure the programme’s direction, priorities, and resources are meaningfully aligned with the visions of African women-led civil society. The SEA-T Programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
