For US-based donors

US gifts reach RFLD directly and are tax-deductible

RFLD holds a current NGOsource Equivalency Determination, which certifies it as the equivalent of a US 501(c)(3) public charity. US foundations, donor-advised funds and individual donors can grant to RFLD directly, without expenditure responsibility or a fiscal sponsor. Workplace giving platforms such as Benevity and Bright Funds, and employer matching, are eligible too.

What you are funding

A system that makes every programme stronger

Many donors can fund a single programme. RFLD brings together four functions that most organisations run separately, and that is why an investment here goes further.

Policy hubs

Continental public tools: the Maputo Protocol Hub, the ACDEG Hub, AU Mechanisms Demystified, the West Africa Legislative Platform and the Francophone Human Rights MOOC.

Grassroots re-granting

The WAFF Fund and the Africa Grant Portfolio move resources to women-led organisations, with audited compliance behind every grant.

Open data

The DƆNÙESÈ Data Center publishes gender-disaggregated data across the continent, open and bilingual.

Direct programmes

PAWELE, BRAVE, Climate Justice, Health in Francophone Africa and Ending FGM, delivered with member organisations on the ground.

Data informs the hubs. The hubs shape the programmes. Programmes produce the evidence that feeds the data. This cycle is why long-term partners stay with us.
