Accountability

Financials and transparency.

RFLD is a pan-African network for gender equality and development working across the Sahel, West, Central and Southern Africa, and the figures on this page cover the organisation as a whole. Every number is drawn from our independent external audits, conducted under the International Standards on Auditing. Both of the last two years carry an unqualified opinion, the cleanest result an auditor can give.

A strong year only matters if it becomes durable independence. Our plan is explicit.

  • Hold no single funder above a third of our income.
  • Grow the operating reserve from about two months toward three.
  • Build a dedicated fundraising function and deepen finance and monitoring capacity ahead of the income they service.
  • Run monthly cash-flow projections and quarterly reviews with the Board Finance Committee.

Unrestricted, trust-based support is what makes this plan achievable. The case for it, and what a transformational gift would build, is set out on our Ways to Give page.
