Water and Gender: our video series
RFLD video series on water, sanitation and gender, with our field work for water justice for women.
Last updated · October 20, 2026
Women and girls carry most of the burden when water is scarce, polluted or far away. Climate change makes this worse across the Sahel and West Africa. RFLD works for water justice with rural women’s groups, local elected officials and traditional leaders.
Our series on water, sanitation and gender runs to 19 episodes, in French. It looks at the right to water, sanitation, financing, conflict and the place of women in water governance.
