Xenia Kremer

Xenia Kremer joins the RFLD Ghana Office.

The Network of Women Leaders for Development (RFLD) is proud to announce that Xenia Kremer is joining our Africa Regional Office for a six-month intensive internship.

Xenia joins us from the prestigious Uppsala University in Sweden, where she is pursuing an MSc in Peace and Conflict Studies. With an interdisciplinary background, Xenia brings a unique perspective on international stability and gender equity to our Programs Department in Accra.

Based at our Regional Hub in Nmai Dzorn, Xenia will work directly under our Programs Manager to support regional advocacy and community-based initiatives that empower women and girls across the African continent.

Academic Excellence

Originally from Germany, Xenia's academic journey has taken her through Vienna and now Sweden. Her focus on Political Science and Communication Science has specialized in International Development and Eastern European Studies.

She is particularly driven by exploring how bottom-up and feminist approaches can strengthen peacebuilding efforts, interests she aims to integrate into RFLD’s ongoing regional projects.

Leadership & Sustainability

Xenia previously served on the board of Pax et Bellum as Secretary, where she honed her administrative and communication skills.

With a strong background in environmental sustainability, she is eager to bring a green perspective to our gender equity work, recognizing the intersectionality between climate change and women’s rights in the African context.

"Akwaaba!"

We invite our partners and community members to join us in welcoming Xenia. Her energy and fresh perspectives are a welcome addition to the RFLD family as we continue our mission to dismantle systemic barriers.

About RFLD

Created in 2013, RFLD is an African feminist regional organization with ACHPR Observer Status. We collaborate with 610 member organizations to protect human rights defenders and promote gender justice across the continent.
