Xenia Kremer joins RFLD in Accra.

An MSc student in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University begins a six-month internship with the Programmes Department at the Africa Office.

Xenia Kremer joins the RFLD Africa Office in Accra.

9 April 2026. The Women Leaders Network for Development (RFLD) is pleased to announce that Xenia Kremer is joining its Africa Office in Accra, Ghana, for a six-month internship.

Xenia is pursuing an MSc in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University in Sweden. She joins the Programmes Department at the Africa Office in Nmai Dzorn, Accra, where she will work under the Programmes Manager to support regional advocacy and community-based initiatives for women and girls.

Academic background

Originally from Germany, Xenia has studied in Vienna and now in Sweden. Her studies in Political Science and Communication Science focused on International Development and Eastern European Studies. She is particularly interested in how bottom-up and women-led approaches can strengthen peacebuilding, and she will bring that interest to RFLD's regional projects.

Experience

Xenia previously served as Secretary on the board of Pax et Bellum, where she handled administrative and communication work. She also has a background in environmental sustainability and is interested in the links between climate change and women's rights in Africa, an area RFLD works on through its Climate Justice programme.

Aid to women’s organisations is falling.
