Women, Business and the Law: economic equality in Francophone West Africa

About Course

This certifying course from the RFLD Académie is based on the MOOC “Women, Business and the Law”, developed by RFLD with funding from GIZ and BMZ using data from the World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law 2024 report. It covers Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo.

You will learn to read the ten indicators, from mobility to safety, to identify the discriminatory legal provisions cited for each country and to understand the limits of the method. The course ends with priority reforms and concrete ideas for building legal advocacy.
