This partnership emphasizes gender-responsive advocacy and the integration of women’s issues in democratic initiatives, crucial given the region’s increasing authoritarianism and civic space restrictions. The coalition seeks collaboration with organizations to enhance advocacy and create a framework for impactful actions. Among its members are notable groups such as HuMENA for Human Rights, Accountability Lab, and Womankind Worldwide, each dedicated to various aspects of human rights, civic engagement, and empowerment. Vuka! aims to incubate new forms of resistance and organization to foster civic participation and protect fundamental freedoms worldwide.
