Ending Malaria in Africa: a women-led approach to systems work

Africa carries 95% of the global malaria burden. The interventions that would prevent most deaths exist. RFLD operationalises the four complementary functions that determine whether clinical interventions actually reach women and children: demand generation, rights-based advocacy, operational research and grassroots resourcing.

RFLD is not a clinical service provider: that work belongs to ministries of health, WHO, UNFPA and the clinical NGOs we partner with. RFLD implements the community mobilisation, advocacy, regranting and operational research that determine whether clinical malaria interventions reach the women and children who need them.
