Welcome to the team: Erin Bresnahan, RFLD Data Evaluation Lead from 1 November 2026

RFLD is pleased to announce that Erin Bresnahan, Co-Founder of AvoMotion Advisory, will serve as RFLD’s Data Evaluation Lead in an advisory capacity from 1 November 2026. Through AvoMotion, Erin will advise RFLD on how it collects, analyses and uses data across its programmes, grants and funds, so that our 1,143 member organisations, our partners and our funders can see clearly what our work changes for women and girls in Africa.

Erin Bresnahan, Co-Founder of AvoMotion Advisory and RFLD Data Evaluation Lead
Erin Bresnahan, Co-Founder of AvoMotion Advisory, joins RFLD as Data Evaluation Lead from 1 November 2026.

Who is Erin Bresnahan

Erin is Co-Founder of AvoMotion Advisory, a French-English bilingual advisory firm based in Montreal, Canada. AvoMotion works with nonprofits, foundations, public sector clients and other mission-driven organisations around the world.

Her background spans international development, policy research and translation, operations, programme building, strategic planning and data for advocacy. This experience gives her a cross-functional view of how organisations can reach their goals with intention and impact.

Erin holds a Master of International Affairs and a Bachelor of Business Administration. She is fully bilingual in English and French.

What Erin will do as Data Evaluation Lead

Erin will advise RFLD’s programme and strategy teams. Her work will cover:

  • the design of monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks across our programmes and funds;
  • how we track the results of our grants, including the baseline and endline assessments of the organisations we fund;
  • expert input on the data in our reports to partners and funders;
  • the development of RFLD’s open data tools, including the DƆNÙESÈ Data Center.

She will work closely with RFLD’s Impact and Learning team, led by Florence Eniayehou, Head of Impact and Learning, and with the team that runs the DƆNÙESÈ Data Center.

Why this matters now

RFLD moves resources to the women closest to the work. Between June and September 2026 alone, we awarded 27 grants worth US$722,100 to 26 organisations, most of them in West Africa. As official aid falls, partners and funders want to know what each grant changes, and the organisations we fund want evidence they can use with their own governments and communities.

Erin brings an independent, practical and cross-cultural perspective to building data systems and programmes that serve communities. She cares about measuring impact in ways that stakeholders can read and use easily. Her interest in data infrastructure that comes from accountability, and serves it, fits RFLD’s commitment to publish what we give and what it achieves.

Her bilingual expertise will also help RFLD connect its francophone and anglophone programmes, and make our evidence accessible across the continent.

Where to see our evidence

We are glad to be working with Erin and AvoMotion and look forward to the work ahead. Partners who would like to discuss data, monitoring or evaluation with RFLD can write to programs@rflgd.org.
