Key activities include hosting side events on civic engagement, bilateral meetings with ACHPR Commissioners, and providing essential data for human rights violations. The RFLD’s mission centers on creating a secure environment for advocates across Africa.

RFLD receives an award of 250 000 USD from the US Embassy in Benin for the coming 12 Months

The U.S. Embassy in Benin granted $250,000 to the Réseau des Femmes Leaders pour le Développement (RFLD) for the project “Engaged Citizens for Inclusive Governance and Local Development in Borgou” (CEGIDEL-Borgou). This initiative targets four communes in the Borgou department and aims to enhance citizen participation, local government accountability, and sustainable development. RFLD will conduct trainings for citizens and civil society organizations, implement monitoring mechanisms for transparency, encourage collaboration among diverse groups, and promote local initiatives addressing community needs. This support reflects the U.S. Embassy’s commitment to fostering democracy and good governance in Benin and RFLD’s dedication to improving lives in the region.
