RFLD Economic Justice And Rights In Francophone Africa

The aspiration for equitable societies in West and Central Africa requires transforming economic structures to prioritize justice and women’s rights. Despite economic growth, gender inequalities persist due to conventional economic policies that overlook women’s realities. The Réseau des Femmes Leaders pour le Développement (RFLD) advocates for women’s economic rights through research, capacity building, and policy reform. Its approach includes Tax Justice, the Care Economy, Debt Justice, Feminist Trade Policy, and Natural Resource Governance, all aimed at challenging existing gendered inequalities. RFLD emphasizes intersectional collaboration and movement building to amplify women’s voices and ensure policy responsiveness to their needs, ultimately striving for a just economy for women and girls.
