RFLD’s Commitment to Sexual Health and Rights in Sub-Saharan Afric
RFLD reaffirms its commitment to empowering women and girls in sub-Saharan Africa on World Sexual Health Day 2024. Sexual health encompasses bodily autonomy, fertility control, and safe, consensual relationships. RFLD addresses critical challenges through education, advocacy, and support services, impacting comprehensive sex education, teenage pregnancy rates, reproductive health access, FGM prevalence, and cultural norms. Operating in the Sahel, West Africa, Central Africa, and Southern Africa, RFLD combats sexual exploitation, violence, HIV/AIDS, legal inequality, and discrimination. The organization envisions a future where everyone can enjoy their sexual rights and well-being.
