From October 2021, RFLD pushed for the ratification of the Maputo Protocol in Niger, translated it into Hausa and Zarma, published handbooks on female genital mutilation and women’s economic justice, and worked with the African Commission and CIVICUS on civic space.À partir d’octobre 2021, le RFLD a plaidé pour la ratification du Protocole de Maputo au Niger, l’a traduit en haoussa et en zarma, a publié des manuels sur les mutilations génitales féminines et la justice économique des femmes, et a travaillé avec la Commission africaine et CIVICUS sur l’espace civique.

In 2023, RFLD obtained Observer Status with the African Commission, published its report on women’s rights laws in West Africa, deepened its work in the CHARM Africa consortium and brought francophone feminists together.En 2023, le RFLD a obtenu le statut d’observateur auprès de la Commission africaine, publié son rapport sur les lois relatives aux droits des femmes en Afrique de l’Ouest, approfondi son travail au sein du consortium CHARM Africa et réuni les féministes francophones.

Holding the line when funding fellTenir bon quand les financements ont chuté

2025 tested the network. After the termination of US government funding, RFLD opened new channels for US donors, published its research on exploitation and maternal health, facilitated the NGOs Forum steering committee of the African Commission and was certified by NGOsource.2025 a mis le réseau à l’épreuve. Après l’arrêt des financements du gouvernement américain, le RFLD a ouvert de nouveaux canaux pour les donateurs américains, publié ses recherches sur l’exploitation et la santé maternelle, animé le comité de pilotage du Forum des ONG de la Commission africaine et obtenu la certification NGOsource.

Aid to women’s organisations is falling. RFLD moves funding fast to women-led organisations and defenders, in French and English, through a network of 1,143 member organisations in more than 35 African countries.L’aide aux organisations de femmes recule. RFLD currently serves as Co-Chair of the SEA-T Programme Advisory Council, mandated to ensure the programme’s direction, priorities, and resources are meaningfully aligned with the visions of African women-led civil society. The SEA-T Programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.Le RFLD assure actuellement la coprésidence du Conseil consultatif du programme SEA-T, chargé de veiller à ce que l’orientation, les priorités et les ressources du programme soient réellement alignées sur les visions de la société civile africaine portée par les femmes.
